A Black dam (Futurity Champion Bonita) & white Accoyo sire, Justinian
Very interesting and he ended up in our showstring. Very dense and soft with perfect conformation we expect he'll be a herdsire when he grows up. With rose grey and black in his background...
Now might be a good time to buy! Definitely at the top of his class he took a second at Mapaca in 2011.

A HEMINGWAY SON out of our premier Futurity Champ ANNAPURNA!
We wanted the Hemingway blood to run in our elite herd and we were able to get it. Altai's genetics can add fineness and density to your females . Mike Safely used Hemingway to put fineness in his herd. It was my idea to cross our Vengador daughter Annapurna with Hemingway and hopefully produce a male. We were lucky in that and his micron started out at 15.1. We are very pleased with his offspring and you will be too. Please call for information or come by for a visit. 1/2 interest available.

100% Accoyo, Beauregard is the product of my closely held Belle line...A Jr. Herdsire
In case you didn't know: Beauregard is a Full Accoyo macho; He is ready to start his breeding career; He is out of a gorgeous dam who is the daughter of my very top foundation female, Cora Belle and by Accoyo Endurance (a fawn full Accoyo male...so he is carrying the genes for coloring your Accoyo cria or letting color through from any female he breeds).
Beau is very square and typey and a show quality animal himself. He was an absolute pleasure in the show ring. Very bright eyed, self controlled and accepting of all the handling he was subjected to. Never out of the ribbons either with his lustrous fiber covering down to his toes.
A very erect and stately macho, he will certainly have a positive impact on your females. Study this outstanding pedigree. He claims the greats...Auzengate, Endurance, Eagle, The Godfather...for the females he has, Cora Belle, Pucara, Annapurna. Many of these alpacas are the very best in the industry. Then look at the animal himself. You'll see that Accoyo Beauregard passes all of these tests with flying colors.
Come by the farm and take a look.

"Original Alpaca Royalty" Few alpaca males have ever attained the greatness and dominance of Caligula!
The 1994 import from Peru provided the first Accoyo alpacas to the United States. Julio Barreda personally selected the males that were included. This particular shipment was of extraordinary quality. Two Accoyo males stood out; Caligula and Pluro. Tom Hunt knew that Barreda favored Caligula, and when he won the coin toss to select first, he made Caligula his choice off the top of the import. Years later I asked Barreda why he had sent some of his best Plantel males in that first import. “They were my business card,” he said. “I didn’t want anyone to forget Accoyo.”
Greg Mecklem of Pacific Crest Alpacas could not get the huge male out of his mind. Soon after the import sale, one of Greg’s females, who had been bred to Caligula, had a cria. Greg remembers it as the best cria he had ever seen. He decided to call Tom Hunt, talk about the weather, an alpaca or two, and then casually ask if Tom had ever considered selling Caligula. “I just did,” said Tom, “to two school teachers in Iowa.”
Greg sprang into action calling Irene Wherritt, who was one of the teachers, and talked her into selling him a ¼ share. Not long after, he had the opportunity to buy 100% of Caligula. Next Greg sold 50% of Caligula to me and I won the Small Breeder of the Year award at the All American Futurity for several years running, add to that many Breeder's Best Three, and Grand Championships at the National level, mostly on the strength of Caligula’s progeny.

Really...A very pleasant surprise!
I didn't do it on purpose. Breeding a son to his own mother just doesn't seem right. BUT, if you want to prove your genetics...it's done all the time. Cicero is an example of one mighty fine male with intense genetics from his mom, our AOBA Grand Champion Annapurna and his sire, her son Accoyo Eagle...It's all confusing, but an opportunity if you don't own these bloodlines.
I just felt the fiber of this 5 year old macho and it's very soft and dense. Luxurious. The kind of blanket you might refer to as having a wonderful "hand". He does have that, large bone and full coverage too.

Peruvian Hawkeye. Heads UP! Dark Fawn Macho ready to start his breeding career !
Peruvian Hawkeye has all the obvious genetic potential of his three famous forefathers. The great Accoyo Caligula and Alianza machos Bueno and Magnum. The coveted Accoyo Alianza cross. A proven show-quality champion, Hawkeye announces to all that he is “ready” to carry his heritage forward.
A son of Mary’s Warrior, (top 1% of males in the USA), Hawkeye displays all the desirable phenotypical characteristics of four generations of focused, careful breeding. All going back to his prepotent ancestors. It is therefore quite reasonable to assume that this whirlwind, poised on his own breeding career, will himself mature into a prepotent sire of legend. (We really like this macho!)
This erect, inquisitive male is a joy to show. Talk about a perfect macho head and topknot! A short muzzle on a triangular head with perfect jaw alignment. He walks erect and strong. Square body architecture is matched with fabulous, fine fiber of pronounced density, long staple length with full coverage. Consistently bright, the color is dark fawn. The fleece is amazingly soft.
Outside stud service and in house breedings lie just ahead. And a continuing show career. Bragging rights for a great alpaca and his new owner. Plus, of course, the proven backup and support from Mary’s Alpaca. Quality, knowledge, and fairness.

FULL ACCOYO SON OF THE LEGENDARY "CALIGULA". Caligula's Accoyo Spirit is a show quality herdsire macho who placed 1st at the 2004 Nationals as a juvenile in composite, 2nd @Mapaca, 2nd NAAS. (You might be amused reading Awards under Mary's Corner on my website, marysalpaca.com).
Spirit has a strong very correct large framed body with heavy bone. His density is outstanding and as a yearling his blanket alone weighed 8 pounds.
Having had an interest in Caligula myself (luckily), I have far too many of this rare commodity today and simply don't have enough females of different bloodlines to make use of Spirit and his genetic powerhouse. He has sired 10 cria to date. 50% were female. Fawns and white. He has upgraded all the moms and the cria exhibit size, conformation, density and uniformity.
I don't want to see this great male unused and so I am offering him here.
He is a proven macho and wants to go to go back to work as he was bred to do. Please call and come visit the farm to meet Spirit yourself.

A Dazzling Show Stopper and future Jr. Herdsire! Out of a Silver Grey Futurity Champ and Lennox
Tatoosh is special...just look at him in the pasture. His markings make you smile. A pleasure to behold.
A grandson of the renowned Misty Maiden, (fawn) known as "the dam of the century" by some (she birthed nothing but Champion alpacas). When Sue Bailey bred Misty to the gray stud Nic Nac she had Silver Belle, her only grey offspring. I bought Silverbelle and just one year later she won the Grand Championship at the 2008 Futurity. I actually don't think she was below a grand anywhere. A magnificent female who is out in my pasture looking just as lovely as always.
His sire line is just as impressive with Patagonia's Lennox, a leading herdsire at Hugo's place out west...Alpacas de la Patagonia. He is one of, if not the best sons of Danko.
I think Tatoosh will do well in the show string and if you're looking for color, Tatoosh is the one for you. We welcome your visit to our farm to meet with Tatoosh.
