Allamanda is our "outcross" girl. With all the good press (and top quality cria) that Bueno has produced ...

We feel fortunate indeed to have Allamanda as part of our herd. This Bueno daughter has turned into one of our best outcrosses to date giving us nothing but show quality, show fleeced cria. She crossed beautifully with Royal Fawn but, dare I say it, even better with our own Warrior presenting us with a stunning, all attitude included, flag waving young male named Hawkeye. We look forward to the show season with him.

2000 Grand Champion at the All American Futurity.....

This princess is a gem of gems! Her fleece is a bright lustrous white. Grab your camera. She is worth taking pictures of! Her 2002 cria EAGLE is gorgeous. We expect our "made in America" herd is enhanced by this very special foundation female. HER 2004 cria is sired by the legendary Alianza stud, Hemingway. Annapurna just gave birth to a beautiful male cria Anasazi on April, 24th. Waiting to see what's next in store for Annapurna.

100% Accoyo, Anushka is a handful. I mean she's really big. Caligula would be proud...after all she looks like him!

Caligula is gone but he left us with a not so little girl, Anushka. Out of our Royal Fawn mom China, she weighed 23.6lbs at birth and is strong as an ox. Today she's well over 200 lbs. So far she's had 2 show quality female cria. At her first show she placed 6th in a large class. Walked in great, then she sat down and wouldn't move...except to leave. So much for show biz! Bred to 2x AOBA Champion Magnum for a Nov, 09 cria.

The first cria out of our Futurity (and everything else) champion, Tinkerbelle and Sired by The Last Don, also white. Go Figure the genetics on this one! Note her beautiful head and check out her two Championship quality sons...they both have "the look" the judges love. Fancy bloodlines, fancy cria and an all around wonderful foundation female. Baci recently gave birth to a Royal Fawn son and he is certain to be in our show string at the end of 2010.

That's one expensive breeding that we bid on...but Blossom warrants the best. Her dam, Caligula's Tinkerbelle was our Grand Champion at the AOBA National Conference. Her sire Magnum won the Grand Championship Fawn 2 years in a row at the same show... Blossom just gave birth to a beautiful little male this fall and he is absolutely magnificent.

Bonita - Championship Black Beauty

Bonita just gave birth to her first cria, a beautiful rose grey female, she is stunning. Shiny fiber and perfect confirmation just like her champion mother. She is wonderful mother and milker. When Bonita had her baby she immediately knew what to do. She is quite an amazing animal!

Chanel Fits Right In with Her New Herd...

A Top Notch Show Contender she already has Championships under her belt. A second at the Futurity in '08. Very fine fiber and high density characterizes her fiber while her little girl body is getting more square by the minute. In reading her pedigree I notice Bueno & Robin crossed...that's the Tierney's of course...then Mike Safley's lines come into play...Hmmmm! Chanel is no longer in the show ring, she is now on the farm getting ready for her first cria which is none other than Challenger of Kentucky Criations. Can't wait to see this match up!

Well Chia did not let us down with her first cria. She delivered a white male cria on 5/22/09. We thought that she and Justinian would produce something pretty spectacular and we were right . . . . this guy is quite SPECIAL. We are going to wait to see what he will do in the show ring in 2010. Accoyo Cossette is a Legacy daughter...Irreplaceable and Proven!

A Legacy (deceased) full Accoyo light fawn daughter and producer of Champion quality cria. Beautifully conformed with great quality fine fleece but she has a very interesting color strip running vertically down her side. At first she won in the Lt.Fawn halter classes, then went on to win all the Grand Championships in the multis. Cossette is currently bred to Jericho and is expecting her cria in April 2010.

She shines in the pasture & has leg coverage all the way down to toes. Dr.Sumar gave her a 3rd in her class at the American Futurity. Elsie is bred to Meadowgate's Peruvian Eminance Crise and she gave birth to a perky little female named SoBe. She is absolutely adorable. We shall give her a try in the show ring when she is old enough.

These two came in like they owned the place. They have adjusted quite nicely to their new home here at Mary's Alpaca. We are expecting great things from both of them. Flashy was bred to our Justinian and produced the most magnificent male with unbelievable fiber. HE is AMAZING!!

2005 Grand Champion at the Futurity...she's genetically & phenotypically wonderful...but what a pain in the show ring. Total Fleece coverage. She used to love flying leaps off the sand hill. We have our fingers crossed for another athlete. Huckleberry Rose just gave birth to her first cria. He is a beautiful white male with fiber, fiber, fiber, dense, dense, dense.

Full Accoyo Proven Female - India's life is full of hills and fun, quick turns and wild feet. Her sire, Caligula's El Nino (deceased), is renowned as one of the best Caligula sons. Mai Tai is one very special indefinite.

Mai Tai is a beautiful light rose grey female out of Black Expresso. She has had quite and impressive show start with winning First and Grand Champion at the National Sweepstakes in May, 2008 and if that isn't enough, finished second at the 2008 AOBA nationals. She is really something special in our heard.

Accoyo Pussywillow is no stranger to the ribbons in the showring and now she'll be a mom!

Solid bloodlines on a solid show quality female. Pussywillow is a hoot and a holler as they say here in the South. Who is that big beautiful alpaca anyway? At 11am her cria by Endurance arrived. Easy and strong as an ox she reminds us of Color Champ Coco Pari. Royal was our big star of 1999, winning color Grand Champion for breed and 1st in her class of Huacays females. Her first cria Velvet Rose was Color Champ of the 2001 Futurity.Her second cria,Victory Velvet is a powderpuff who snagged a 2nd at the Kentucky Classic. Her staple length is so long that she needs to be shorn 2X a year. Then there is CocoPari a champion in her own right!

Caligula's Grand daughter plays with all the kids...

I'm not kidding, this female comes running up to greet you and walks beside you without a leash. Part of the alpaca lifestyle and part of our breeding program as well. She did that as a cria but part may also be due to her being hit with an overabundance of iron in her diet which tied up the Calcium and affected her growth and fiber...she's OK now and we're starting to breed her. All is not easy in the breeding business but our fingers are crossed for this lovely girl.

Championship after Championship...Peruvian/Chilean Cross

A stunning alpaca..."What's that" was a common question noting her different colors. But, her blanket is a solid dark silver grey. The only grey daughter of Misty Maiden she was bred by Sue Bailey of Silver Creek Alpacas who was nice enough to sell her to me as a youngster. The deal went something like this. Sue: "you owe me $5K more if she wins the Championship. OK?" Me: "OK". Silver Belle only won the Blue that time but every time since it's been the Grand or Reserve....Oh well a deal's a deal!

3/4 Accoyo 1/4 Alianza...And her fleece and bone are testaments to her heritage

Singita missed her class but she had plenty of people visiting her at pen side. She is a solid female with big bone and an absolutely beautiful fleece. We've got my Belle line represented thru her sire Justinian and The Godfather for the other Accoyo portion. We feel certain that she will continue to work the show ring for a while.

Tai Rose is Light rose grey and weighed in at 19 lbs. She started following us around the field 1 hour later. Winning the BLUE RIBBON at the NAAS in halter was taken in stride by this show quality girl. When bred to Challenger (silver grey) she produced a spectacular dark grey cria. True champion bloodlines in this female.

She was 3 weeks early...arrived at 5:30 AM...No Problem!

Tiger is as bright a white as you will find. She's a bit low on her pasterns being somewhat premature but we were ready. The phone rang at 5AM..."This is Mary's Alpaca...We're having a baby" and off we ran to the barn to find her head & two feet presenting themselves...A perfect little girl and her mom loves her already.

Getting ready to start breeding this 2 year old champion. . .

Tingsha Belle is part of our show string this year and is a full Accoyo female from our infamous Belle line. Already a Grand champion under the three judge system of the Alpaca Sweepstakes, Tingsha is something special. Tingsha is getting ready to have her first little cria. She is due in April and we will have to wait to see what she has to offer, but it is certain to be a true surprise.

Tink had a ANOTHER FAWN ACCOYO FEMALE CRIA. She's stunning. Tinkerbelle has Classic lines & spectacular fleece with total coverage. Her 2001 debut @ the Kentucky Classic was under the discerning eye of int. renowned Judge Maggie Kreiger. She selected Tinkerbelle as GRAND CHAMPION WHITE HUACAYA FEMALE. In 2002 she again was GRAND CHAMPION and won the Small Breeder of the Year for us at THE FUTURITY with her CHAMPIONSHIP Then Championship at the Nationals. "The best in the show" said Judge Sumar. This Caligula daughter is superb.And she just loves to kiss.Now, the fun part...who should we breed her to? It's a tough question. Who will NOT take away from her quality? It's really an interesting problem.

TUPTIM is a piece of work! Her beautiful head and straight nose is always available for a kiss! Tuptim is very much a people alpaca.

Tuptim won the Reserve Grand Championship at the AOBA Nationals. Her legs are perfect,eyes,teeth everything. Her dam is a full Accoyo Caligula daughter.Champions reign is her pedigree with her sire Magnum winning the Grand 2x at the Nationals (fawn). Her 2nd cria has just arrived and true to form she accepted little Tiger right from the minute she watched those feet emerge. Not to confuse you...but for the longest time I thought she was a he. (keep a close eye on those microchip pasties when applying to the ari forms...ok, so i'm not perfect...but Tuptim is!

Vanalika is a princess and the judges know it too. 1st at the International Odyssey in a huge halter class and 1st at AOBA National's in her shorn class. She sees a show ring...up goes the head, the ears forward, eyes alert, fix a high tail carraige and she wows them every time. She carries the genes of Hemingway and Accoyo Victor. Vanalika is currently bred to Justinian for a April cria.

FUTURITY GRAND CHAMP Produces FUTURITY GRAND CHAMP

Velvet Rose walked proud when she was chosen (3 judges) as the big winner. Her mom, Royal Velvet, is the 99 futurity champ. Her daughter Huckleberry Rose was the Grand Champ in 2005. V Rose has a very balanced body, she runs like the wind and is totally athletic. She is fortunate to have just as wonderful a fleece. Velvet Rose just had her cria sired by SCA Peruvian Magnum and he is just magnificent. He will definitely be in the show ring when he is able.

3/4 Accoyo (Camilio is no longer breeding), the other half from our Grand Champion Royal Velvet. Conformationally just fine but her strength is her fiber. Victory just gave birth to VICTORIA, a magnificant cria by our limited herdsire, Justinian, she is AMAZING.
