A LEGEND IN HIS OWN TIME. THE MOST DECORATED HERDSIRE IN THE USA...Remembered

CHAMPION "GET OF SIRE" in 1999,2000,2001,2002 & for 2003 we won the GET in MAPACA and the AOBA NATIONALS. LOOK AGAIN at these fleece stats. He's rare; no doubt about it. We think he's the epitome of sires in the USA. His potent genetics have produced champions throughout his line and all outcrosses around the world. Widely agreed to be one of the top two Accoyo herdsires ever imported from Macusani in Peru. Caligula was Don Julio Barreda's "calling card" to the U.S., and proof of the success and uniqueness of his Accoyo breed. Caligula, who passed away in 2003 with 203 registered offspring continues to have a major impact on our herd. We have his son Accoyo Justinian siring our showstring as I write.

Offspring

Anushka #846081  |  DOB: 5/25/2003  |  White

100% Accoyo, Anushka is a handful. I mean she's really big. Caligula would be proud...after all she looks like him!

Caligula is gone but he left us with a not so little girl, Anushka. Out of our Royal Fawn mom China, she weighed 23.6lbs at birth and is strong as an ox. Today she's well over 200 lbs. So far she's had 2 show quality female cria. At her first show she placed 6th in a large class. Walked in great, then she sat down and wouldn't move...except to leave. So much for show biz! Bred to 2x AOBA Champion Magnum for a Nov, 09 cria.

El Patron #156690  |  DOB: 9/9/1995  |  White

SON OF CALIGULA and one of the Get of Sire group representing him at the Nationals in '97

1/2 Accoyo 1/2 Sollocota. He is upgrading anyone he has been bred to. Patron letl's ALL COLORS through. He was extensively advertised in the late 90's. Some time ago I was showing males to a visitor. "Tell me about that one" he said pointing at Patron's elegant stance on the hillside. "that's El Patron" I said proudly gazing at this very intelligent/willing macho. With a smile my visitor said, "He's beautiful and has, how would I say, a calm presence that says I am the one." You know, he's right. Always gentle with the females and babies . . .El Patron was part of the winning group of offspring to win the Get of Sire for Caligula in 1998. He's older now but his wonder genetics still have years of progeny left. He's strong and healthy. Strongly standing stud at Mary's alpaca.

Justinian (Restricted Herdsire) #838348  |  DOB: 9/25/2002  |  White/Beige

JUSTINIAN, Full Accoyo son of Caligula proves his prepotency time and again

1st place 2009 AOBA International Spin Off Competition @ 7 years old! His son Cameron also won the 1st in his division. Cameron Holt said it's the fiber we're trying to breed for in Austrailia..."don't mind if I pinch a sample to take home...do you?" BLUE RIBBON halter @ the 2004 National's.Blue @ the 2005 MAPACA Maggie Kreiger started like this "this male is, in my mind, the epitome of the ideal alpaca..."This gorgeous stud has "rolling skin" for density, tight curls and fleece as bright as his full sister Tinkerbelle. Set on a beautifully proportioned body. He is magnificent and one of the best Caligula sons I've ever seen. Besides all that beauty, he's a true intellectual in the show ring...he studies everything! Standing at stud at Mary's Alpaca in Virginia. Limited Breedings Available, please call

Tinkerbelle #820526  |  DOB: 6/22/2000  |  White/Beige

Grand Champion White Huacaya Female AGAIN!...fleece like jewelry.

Tink had a ANOTHER FAWN ACCOYO FEMALE CRIA. She's stunning. Tinkerbelle has Classic lines & spectacular fleece with total coverage. Her 2001 debut @ the Kentucky Classic was under the discerning eye of int. renowned Judge Maggie Kreiger. She selected Tinkerbelle as GRAND CHAMPION WHITE HUACAYA FEMALE. In 2002 she again was GRAND CHAMPION and won the Small Breeder of the Year for us at THE FUTURITY with her CHAMPIONSHIP Then Championship at the Nationals. "The best in the show" said Judge Sumar. This Caligula daughter is superb. And she just loves to kiss. Now, the fun part...who should we breed her to? It's a tough question. Who will NOT take away from her quality? It's really an interesting problem.
